Katyusha Fired from Gaza

The Jerusalem Post and Ha’aretz are reporting that for the first time ever, a Katyusha rocket was fired into Israel from the Gaza Strip.

The Jerusalem Post reports:

The Katyusha rocket, the army said, was a “clear escalation” on the Gaza battlefield and demanded a quick and harsh response. Unlike the homemade short-range Kassam rockets frequently launched at Israel, Katyushas have a range of over 20 kilometers and can carry over 20 kilograms of explosives.

The French news agency AFP has also reported on this ominous escalation. Will the US media, which eagerly covers certain news from the region, cover the attack?
