British MP George Galloway Personally Delivers Money and Aid to Hamas

Galloway.jpg

British MP George Galloway has proudly given money and aid to Hamas.

At a press conference in Gaza, Galloway addressed Hamas and announced

We are giving you now 100 vehicles and all of their contents, and we make no apology for what I am about to say. We are giving them to the elected government of Palestine.

He further stated

I say now to the British and European governments, if you want to take me to court I promise you there is no jury in all of Britain who will convict me. They will convict you.

since when are authoritarian regimes that murder their political opponents and put the people they are trying to "liberate" in harm's way worthy of support?

Despite furious spinning from Gallloway the Viva Palestina convoy was still a failure.

George was supposed to enter Gaza at the head of a mile long circus parade - Washington in a Winnebago. Alternatively, he was to have been shut out, bravely defying Israel (O.K. Egypt but let's not quibble) in front of the world's media until forcing them to break the blockade.

Instead, what happened? The medicine went in through the Red Cross, George and friends went in on foot and the rest of the 'urgent' aid stayed outside including all the vehicles.

Even if it had been allowed to enter Gaza, does anyone really think 100 vehicles of assorted age, brand, model and condition without petrol or spare parts was really the top thing in the list of Palestinian needs in Gaza?

If I was in the jury, I would convict the bastard.
