Old Canards in New Articles
New entries on CAMERA's main Web site today discuss recent media recycling of familiar errors.
AFP has falsely claimed that "Jewish hardliners" tried to burn down the Al Aksa mosque in 1969. Generally, this modern day blood libel is trumpeted by fringe critics of Israel, not by mainstream sources ostensibly interested in accuracy.
Ha'aretz, for the second time in recent months, has rehashed the false claim that the Gaza Strip is "the most densely populated place in the world ..."
Will the two outlets publish corrections?
