The "Diversity" of New York Times Op-Ed Page

A former New York Times Op-Ed promised that the newspaper tends to “look for articles that cover subjects and make arguments that have not been articulated elsewhere in the editorial space. If the editorial page, for example, has a forceful, long-held view on a certain topic, we are more inclined to publish an Op-Ed that disagrees with that view.?

The current editorial page editor, Andrew Rosenthal, similarly asserted that editors “are not looking for people who agree with us all the time? and are aiming for “balance over time.?

Let's take a look at the New York Times online Opinion page to see whether its arguments differ at all from the anti-Israel line taken by the newspaper's editorial board and columnists.

It's possible that the newspaper might publish an Op-Ed focused on Hamas's war crimes, or on Israel's need to defend its citizens from incessant rocket attacks. But history shows that if you're waiting for anything coming close to balance on the opinion pages, you'll be waiting in vain.

Andrew Rosenthal believes its a mistake for Israel to target an Arab terrorist who is behind the firing of hundreds of missles at Israeli civilians.
Keep in mind, the NY Times opposed Israel killing mass murderers Yassin and Rantisi in 04.
Terrorism went down 90% in Israel when these 2 killers were sent to hell.
If a Cuban in Cuba was ordering hundreds of missles being fired from Cuba into floria, i wonder if Rosenthal would have that same opinion of targeting this person.
Andrew Rosenthal believes Israel is the only country that shouldn't defend itself.
Earth to Andrew, if you attack Israeli civilians with rockets, expect to be attacked right back. And if you attack with barrages of hundreds of rockets, expect a war.
Not a single Gazan would be killed or injured if Hamas and Gaza would stop attacking Israel. Its that simple. There is nothing else to talk about.
Even Arab terrorist appeasers like Rosenthal should know that.

There is a moral inversion afoot among media and officialdom that puts Israel on the same diplomatic plane as HAMAS.
The adults are NOT in charge at the US State Department and the NY Times.
In fact the entire American press corps appears dumbstruck with such an idiotic set of beliefs.
