J Street (Sort of) Explains False Claim of Civilian Casualties

In a Jerusalem Post story entitled "MK slams J Street for statement on Gaza," a J Street spokesperson attempts to explain her organization's false claim that Israel "killed over a dozen civilians" when in fact almost all the Gaza casualties were terrorists.

The story notes:

J Street subsequently revised the statement on their website by removing the reference to the “dozen Palestinian civilians.? By Tuesday afternoon, the organization had also added a brief apology saying, “Please note the original statement misstated the number of civilian casualties. We regret the error.?

On Tuesday night, a spokeswoman for J Street told The Jerusalem Post that the organization regrets the error and had misreported the number of civilian casualties “based on an unfounded report.?

Mistakes happen. But the spokesperson apparently did not explain what "unfounded report" J Street president Jeremy Ben Ami deemed more reliable than Israeli assessments and reports from all the major news outlets.

A knee jerk response by J Street. How come the knee always jerks in one direction?

Obviously JStreet was reading the lies of Pallywood sites like Ali Abunimah who claimed there was a massacre in Gaza.
Its very similar to the lie about Jenin 2002.
When the world started to see what liars the Palestinians were in Jenin in 02, the Palestinians started to have fake funerals for Palestinians they said were killed in Jenin.
Just go to google and type in,
youtube fake funerals Palestinians

Why not simply report "J" Street as it really is: "K" Street, where K stands for KAPO.

JStreet should keep their dissension to their
brothers to themselves.

as steve says, this is knee jerk. and why? because the worse israel behaves the better it is for j-street to ply their, "let's pressure israel to make concessions for peace" theme. j-street epitomizes the "liberal" susceptibility to the demopathic lethal narratives of the palestinian side - oh those poor civilians - even as the other side targets israeli civilians. to examine their systemic vulnerability to pallywood would be too much.

so j-street will back off the ludicrous claims, but won't address the much more problematic and systemic disorders of our position. just think what would happen to their position were they to acknowledge the fundamental palestinian strategy - strike civilians and scream foul at retaliation... a strategy into which their best intentions (?) are the ideal dupe/collaborator.
