Steaks Flying over Gaza

food rockets gaza.jpgAccording to an interesting piece in yesterday's Spiegel Online about Kassam rockets manufactured in Gaza and fired at Israel, "The raw materials for one large rocket cost up to €500."

I can't help but imagine, on those days when 40 rockets at 500 Euros a piece are fired out of Gaza, that in fact $30,000 worth of pitas, beef, and vegetables are being launched out of the territory instead of being on the plates of hungry Gazans. And that's before you factor in the cost to Gaza of Israel's attempts to stop those rockets.

It brings to mind Golda Meir's quote about peace not being possible before those in the region love their kids more than they hate Jews.

Comments

Steak pita sandwich: €4.50.

Kassam rocket: €500.

Urban housing solution for 20,000 people: $50,000,000.

F-16I fly-away price: $70,000,000.

Having a civilian population in the line of fire so you can justify the indefinite occupation of Gaza: priceless.

For some occupations and human rights violations, American weapons and backing are all you need.
But for everything else, there's S'DEROT.

Ask your Lobby representative about everything that S'DEROT justifies, today!

Or maybe:

Withdrawal of all Israeli troops and civilians from all of Gaza: 2005

Time it took for the unoccupied Gazans to rocket Israel: Immediately

When will Israel's most dogmatic critics accept the fact that Gaza is not actually occupied anymore: Never — they will continue to justify Palestinian attacks on Israeli civilians by referring to an "indefinite occupation of Gaza," facts be damned.

Leon's assertion that Israelis living in Sderot are "in the line of fire" rather than targets: Absurd

What would Leon do if his home, children and neighbors were under relentless attack by rocket-wielding terrorists who deny his country's right to exist and announce that they intend to replace that country with a fundamentalist Islamic state: Blame it on Israel!!

To Israel; You will have to make a deal sometime
To Hamas; As above!
To the USA; Will you stop pouring petrol on the flames you cannot be a peace broker you are biased.
To the peace makers SHOUT LOUDER don't take sides.
To Britain go back to being fair.
To Europe stop being manipulated.
To the politicians, the deaths of the innocents are your fault.
