Johnston, 'almost a Gazan'

free johnston.jpe

Earlier we noted that BBC has acknowledged that the job of their reporter Alan Johnston, who is still being held captive in Gaza, is to bring daily reports "on the Palestinian predicament."

According to Palestinian sources, he was doing a pretty good job. The Palestinian Ma'an News Agency reports:

The BBC director in Gaza expressed hopes that Johnston will be released soon and said that Johnston was almost a Gazan as he had lived with the Gazans for a long time and cared very much for Palestinians.

if you can provide me with examples where the BBC has changed the wording or misquoted IDF spokespeople then I will try and do something about it.

Nick Reynolds, BBC editor, has virtually challenged readers of the Biased-BBC blog to provide examples where the IDF spokeperson used the word terrorist and the BBC misrepresents with the word militant. Can anyone provide examples? Click on the link ASAP and drown him with examples.

It may embarrass the BBC into admitting anti Israel bias.

I had no idea until recently that the Beeb was so biased against Israel and am left fuming to be so patronised.

It also makes for sloppy toothless journalism not to call a spade a spade.

I only rarely call by the Beeb site anyway it so tired and dull, likewise al-Guardian, preferring the hilarious truth and better graphics on LGF and not so hilarious truth on Jihad Watch.

Good work.
